About the show: From the Tony® and Grammy® award-winning creators of Spring Awakening, Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, and co-written by Jessie Nelson (Waitress), Alice by Heart is a touching musical inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. As they travel through the tale, Alice by Heart explores the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward. This world premiere musical encourages us all to celebrate the transformational power of the imagination, even in the harshest of times. Please note: This show may include PG-13 material. Book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson; Music by Duncan Sheik; Lyrics by Steven Sater. Alice by Heart is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

About the program: OFC’s teen intensive program (or Pre-Professional Program) is geared towards students considering a future career in the performing arts. This camp is an “intensive” where the show is auditioned, rehearsed, and performed in a short time period. These are full Broadway or off-Broadway length shows with difficult material, and oftentimes are shows with smaller. Those auditioning and registering for Pre-Professional Teen programs should be prepared to commit themselves to a rigorous rehearsal process with the expectation of work being done at home and outside of the rehearsal room. Directors of the Pre-Professional Teen programs assume those participating want to be performing professionally after high school and will be pushed accordingly, to their fullest potential. Directors hope to bring a glimpse into the professional rehearsal process to prepare students for college, community, and NYC/LA mirrored opportunities. Rehearsals are adjusted based on the needs of the show. By dress rehearsals, costumes, set pieces, and props will be added to enhance the production which will be open and advertised to the public. It is encouraged that all participants not only have previous theatre experience but are also striving towards performing professionally as a career. Please note that teen shows may contain PG-13 content in the material provided by the licensing company. We advise campers and their families to research the show prior to enrollment.

Before and after care are not available for this program.

About the show: This Tony Award-nominated, hilarious, roller skating, musical adventure about following your dreams despite the limitations others set for you, rolls along to the original hit score composed by pop-rock legends, Jeff Lynne and John Farrar. Based on the Universal Pictures cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly, Xanadu is hilarity on wheels for adults, children and anyone who has ever wanted to feel inspired.

Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first ROLLER DISCO! (Hey, it's 1980!) But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and chaos abounds.

Xanadu is a moving, electrifying tale of endless fun that will keep audiences in stitches while the original legendary, chart-topping tunes lift them out of their seats. You'll want to keep the music in your head and Xanadu in your heart... forever. Please note: This show may include PG-13 material. About the program: OFC’s teen camps feature a range of students who are bound for Broadway, enjoy performing for fun, and are first timers. OFC welcomes all teens to continue or begin their theatre journey in our teen program. Auditions will be held on the first day, but all registered teens for the program will receive a part (or parts) in the show with our “no cut” policy (unless otherwise noted). While no previous experience is required, many students have been performing since they were in diapers. Directors are ready to meet all students at their respective experience level and feature their skill sets appropriately, no matter how long they have been performing. The experience should be fun and enjoyable for all participants, with a focus on putting on the best show possible. Please note that teen shows may contain PG-13 content in the material provided by the licensing company. We advise campers and their families to research the show prior to enrollment.

The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. About the program: OFC’s kid camp shows are typically 60-minutes in length and include full cast musical numbers as well as opportunities to feature soloists, specialty dancers, and supporting characters. Oftentimes these are Junior (Jr.) productions which are a 60-minute version of a full Broadway show, the Jr. versions reduce verses in long songs, cut subplots or unneeded musical numbers, and make the scripts easy to read and memorize for student performers. Compared to school year OFC programs, these will be a bit larger scale than our Elementary School shows, but a bit more time efficient than our Middle School shows – to ensure all students have a fantastic experience. Auditions are held on the first day, with materials taught by the instructors; all students who register will be in the show with our “no cut” policy. Directors are ready to meet all students at their respective experience level and feature their skill sets appropriately, no matter how long they have been performing. Please note: There may be two casts for this camp that will rehearse at the same time, in the same location but have separate performances (meaning each camper will perform in two of the four performances).

About the show: This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone — Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Hadestown is the winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Orchestrations. Please note: This show may include PG-13 material. By Anais Mitchell. About the show: Join Dorothy and her loyal companion Toto as they “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” through the Land of Oz, determined to reach the Emerald City, where the great and powerful Wizard of Oz will help them get home. Of course, along the way, Dorothy encounters witches (both good and bad), Munchkins, talking trees and winged monkeys. But most importantly, she befriends three unique characters: a Scarecrow with no brain, a Tin Man with no heart, and a Lion with no “nerve.” Their journey to happiness – and self-awareness – is a glowing testament to friendship, understanding and hope in a world filled with both beauty and ugliness.

L. Frank Baum’s beloved story of a young girl’s adventure in a magical land has been entertaining audiences for over a century. MGM’s blockbuster 1939 film adaptation, featuring the timeless songs of Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg, along with the brilliant music of Herbert Stothart, elevated the popular novel to even greater heights.

About the show: Seussical…. for teen performers! Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once on This Island, Ragtime), have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. Music by Stephen Flaherty; Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens; Book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty; Co-Conceived by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty and Eric Idle. Based on the Works of Dr. Seuss. Seussical is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

Welcome to the Renaissance and the outrageous, crowd-pleasing musical farce, Something Rotten. Created by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Wayne Kirkpatrick, and successful screenwriters Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, Something Rotten was lauded by audience members and critics alike, receiving several Best Musical nominations and hailed by Time Out New York as "the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years".

Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz.

Something Rotten features large song and dance numbers, and a wacky cast of over-the-top characters, each with their own moment to shine. Throughout its Broadway run, the musical received a show-stopping standing ovation from audiences... in the beginning of the first act! It’s become clear that “nothing’s as amazing as a musical!” Please note: This show may include PG-13 material. Book by Karey Kirkpatric and John O'Farrell; Music and Lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick; Conceived by Karey Kirkpatrick and Wayne Kirkpatrick. Something Rotten is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

Please note that teen shows may contain PG-13 content in the material provided by the licensing company. We advise campers and their families to research the show prior to enrollment.

About the show: The delicious adventures of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth.

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences. Words and Music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newly; Adapted for the Stage by Leslie Bricusse and Timothy A. McDonald; Based on the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Jr is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

About the program: We’re not going to huff or puff, because we’ll be too busy singing and dancing! Focusing on skills in acting, singing, and dance — instructors will lead campers in learning a short 12–15-minute full stage production. Campers will be introduced to costumes, sets, props, and more all while having fun onstage! Each camper is guaranteed a role in the show. Perfect for kids coming out of their shell or for those ready to take center stage and hit their spotlight! Camp is centered around public speaking, confidence building, and having fun. Oftentimes, the students will assist the instructor with writing the script for their short show – focusing on the beginning, middle, and end of the story, as well as which characters will have each line. Each student is guaranteed a role in the show with our “no cut” policy, and auditions are worked into their class material, rather than official auditions that could make little ones nervous.

About the show: This play follows Mrs. Wilson’s school class as they bring Treasure Island to life in their classroom. The students play all the parts by borrowing everyday classroom pieces to become their swords, telescopes, and treasure. In the story Jim Hawkins sets his course for adventure to find secret treasure with the unlikeliest teams. They quickly decide to outfit a ship and travel the sea. Aboard ship, Jim meets Long John Silver, who befriends him. But Jim quickly learns who Long John really is and what his plans are.
