About the show: Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde The Musical JR. is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all. Oftentimes these are Junior (Jr.) productions which are a 60-minute version of a full Broadway show, the Jr. versions reduce verses in long songs, cut subplots or unneeded musical numbers, and make the scripts easy to read and memorize for student performers. Compared to school year OFC programs, these will be a bit larger scale than our Elementary School shows, but a bit more time efficient than our Middle School shows – to ensure all students have a fantastic experience. Auditions are held on the first day, with materials taught by the instructors; all students who register will be in the show with our “no cut” policy. Directors are ready to meet all students at their respective experience level and feature their skill sets appropriately, no matter how long they have been performing. Please note: There may be two casts for this camp that will rehearse at the same time, in the same location but have separate performances (meaning each camper will perform in two of the four performances).

About the show: Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on stage in Disney’s High School Musical JR. Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra-curricular activities. The show’s infectious, danceable songs are sure to engage performers and audiences alike. It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well. About the show: Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme… You better get me to school on time! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock: Young Actors Edition is a dynamic, one-hour version of the musical based on the hit movie, designed especially for young performers. The tuner follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. Welcome to the Renaissance and the outrageous, crowd-pleasing musical farce, Something Rotten. Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. About the show: This play follows Mrs. Wilson’s school class as they bring Treasure Island to life in their classroom. The students play all the parts by borrowing everyday classroom pieces to become their swords, telescopes, and treasure. In the story Jim Hawkins sets his course for adventure to find secret treasure with the unlikeliest teams. They quickly decide to outfit a ship and travel the sea. Aboard ship, Jim meets Long John Silver, who befriends him. But Jim quickly learns who Long John really is and what his plans are. Once the ship anchors at Treasure Island the pirates turn on Jim and his companions. Jim takes on the responsibility of saving the ship and his shipmates to secure that treasure! Any gender can portray any role. Adapted by R. Rex Stephenson, this is a one-hour straight play, not a musical.
