Spring Into Summer Dance Workshops


Open to ages 9-17​

All held at the OFC Creations Theatre Center, 3450 Winton Pl., Rochester NY 14623


Break out into your musical theatre style with our Broadway themed dance workshops! Each week students will explore a new Broadway musical with original choreography or similar dance moves to the show. Students of all experience levels are welcomed to move and groove with us! Workshops are currently limited to 16 students each.

Introduction to Stage Combat

Thursday, August 5th from 3:15PM-4:45PM

These workshops are held at the Kodak Center; $25/each; Open to ages 11-18; Instructor: Steve Vaughan

Ever watched an epic battle on stage and wondered how they do that? Campers will learn a range of hand-to-hand stage combat techniques to execute onstage fights. Falls, slaps, punches, etc., all done safely with an emphasis on communication, trust and mutual respect. Steve Vaughan is a Certified Fight Director and Stage Combat Teacher for the Society of American Fight Directors. (safd.org).  He brings his experience staging stunts, fights and action sequences for Television, Film, Theater and Opera in western New York and nationwide!

Vocal Master Class

Wednesday, August 25th from 3:15PM-5:15PM at the OFC Creations Theatre Center
$25 for campers ages 12 and up.
Ranaletta is an Eastman School of Music and Ithaca College classically trained opera singer and actress whose professional career, as a singer, actress, director and teacher, spans over 4 decades, and nearly 300 productions, throughout the U.S. and Europe, on stage, as well as in film, radio and television. Ranaletta is also well known locally as the long-time, former Vocal Music and Drama Director at Greece Athena High School, where she successfully grew a thriving Performing Arts Program. Her students, past and present, have appeared in 39 BROADWAY SHOWS and continue to enjoy successful careers in the Performing Arts, including Broadway, National Tours, World-wide Opera Companies, film and television, and on International Recording labels. Accompanist will be provided, must bring clearly marked sheet music.
