The Walt Disney World Experience 2022

Auditions for the 2022 Disney Experience have closed and we are not accepting any additional  students. We hope you consider joining us for our 2023 offering.

Inspire creativity as OFC explores lands of magic and wonder at Walt Disney World! Students will participate in workshops led by Disney artists and take the stage in once-in-a-lifetime performance opportunities rounded out by unforgettable recreational experiences in “the place where dreams come true!”

It’s true, OFC Creations is taking the show on the road to Disney World as part of ROC Summer Theatre Experience 2022!

  • Open to OFC students ages 14 and up only
  • To prepare for the trip, students must take part in the Disney Show Choir Bootcamp. Meeting six times throughout August, students will prepare a 20-minute Disney Dazzle Medley to be performed on the trip
  • Students must also participate in at least one OFC summer camp in July or August 2022
  • All students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Students must audition and be accepted into the program to participate (see info on auditions below)

  • Auditions in late February 2022 (see info on auditions below)
  • Disney Show Choir Bootcamp will rehearse August 16, 18, 21, 23, 25 from 6PM-8:30PM. Students are only allowed to miss ONE bootcamp rehearsal. August 25th is mandatory
  • Parent information meetings will be held in conjunction with the show choir rehearsals
  • Departing flight on Sunday, August 28th and returning flight on Friday, September 2nd, 2022. Dates may change slightly based on air travel booked early on
  • Five nights at Disney World with four days in the parks

  • Before the trip, students will spend 6 intensive rehearsals mounting a 20-minute Disney Dazzle Medley working with OFC staff members. Through song and dance, students will perform at a level of Disney professional caliber
  • Before the trip, students will get to speak with former Disney cast members on their experience and what to look for while in Disney
  • On the trip, students will participate as part of the Disney Imagination Campus: “Disney Broadway Magic.” Get an inside look at the fundamentals of musical theatre with industry Disney professionals who will lead students through fast-paced rehearsals of a scene from one of Disney’s world-famous shows. Throughout this workshop, participants will also gain valuable insights into audition techniques, the importance of every role, and overcoming unexpected obstacles during performances.
  • On the trip, students will perform their 20-minute Disney Dazzle Medley on stage for the public at Disney Springs. With costumes and a live accompanist, this performance will be one to remember!
  • On the trip there will be countless other performing arts educational experiences that students will have the option of participating in. Full details on these will be posted soon.
  • When not participating in workshops or performances, students will be able to ride attractions, experience live shows, and of course enjoy the fireworks and nighttime spectaculars! There will be no park hopping on this trip, participants will be at one park per day.

Who Is Involved:

  • As Disney World fanatics, Eric Johnson and Hunter Ekberg travel to Disney World multiple times a year. As a “home away from home” Eric and Hunter want to share the magic they’ve learned about the performing arts through Disney and how they’ve encompassed that into OFC Creations
  • Teressa Bala will be organizing and managing the trip. Teressa has organized over 7 trips for public school music programs, sport groups, church groups, and now OFC! She knows how to get the best bang for our buck and make sure we don’t miss out on the best of what Disney has to offer. She will also be joining us on the trip.
  • 20 to 50 students will be accepted into the program and will work with Hunter Ekberg and Caeli Carroll in the Disney Show Choir Bootcamp throughout August. Teressa Bala will accompany live on piano.
  • While on the trip, students will be separated into groups of 4 for rooming and exploring the parks. Students are encouraged to request who they want in their groups; we will strive to accommodate all requests.
  • Student groups will be assigned an adult chaperone: Eric Johnson, Hunter Ekberg, Caeli Carroll, Courtney Schutt, Kitty Lipski, Stephanie Schmidt, Teressa Bala. We will not be accepting chaperone requests. While chaperones will not be physically with their students the entire time in the park, predetermined check in times will be scheduled for student groups to meet up with their chaperone. Disney World Employees also have direct access to OFC chaperones while students are in the parks, so any student that approaches a Disney cast member with an issue will reach the OFC chaperone.
  • For budget and planning purposes, parents/families of students cannot travel as part of our program. However, if families are interested in coming, we encourage them to book similar flights/hotel and can meet up with their student in the parks, at our performance in Disney Springs, and for dinners.
